The House of Andalusia in Benidorm crowns its Queens of 2023

18 September 2022
Coronación Casa de Andalucía

Last night, Casa de Andalucía in Benidorm crowned its Queens of 2023, the young Elia Romero and the girl Maira Jiménez, in an act that was held at Óscar Esplá amphitheatre in Parque de l'Aigüera and was attended, among others, by the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; members of the Municipal Corporation; the Queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Aila Merenciano and Chloe D'Hebboudt, and their courts of honour; the president of the Commission, José Vicente Fuster; and the president of the Penyes Association, Adrián Romero.

The act was held by the local duo Ecos de Andalucía, made up of Juan José López and Joaquín Reyes, who performed a typical Spanish dance, (sevillana), that the new queens danced on stage.

The Councilor for Fiestas wished Elia and Maira, "queens with character and tradition", a "wonderful year" and congratulated Casa de Andalucía for its work. A House of Andalusia that “is taking back that air and that joy that is a house mark”, since in the last year the entity chaired by Raúl González has increased the number of members. In addition to crowning the new Queens, the act also served to present the more than 20 new bridesmaids and to bid farewell to the Queens of 2022, Raquel and Alba Rodríguez.

Before the Coronation, Beatriz Vaello's dance group made several performances.
