Hoguera La Cala will bring the Alicante celebration par excellence to Benidorm this weekend: the festivities in honour of San Juan, celebrations that start this Friday and will last until next Monday, the big day of 'les Fogueres'. The Councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, has congratulated the commissioners of La Cala, and especially its beauty Ana Orozco, for “keeping the Hogueras festivals alive in La Cala neighbourhood and our town as a whole, thus betting on a tradition of more than forty years in Benidorm.”

The official program will begin this Friday, once the monuments have been planted, with an honorary wine starting at 7:30 p.m. for collaborators and other festive entities in the Hoguera La Cala tent, located on Murtal Street. From there, numerous festive events will be held, such as parades, theme parties in the 'racó' and coexistence between the members of the Foguera, which will continue until Monday night.

Among the most significant events, Mariló Cebreros has announced that on Sunday, the 23rd, at 7 p.m. the Offering of flowers and the procession in honour of San Juan will be celebrated from the church of San Juan Bautista and around the streets of La Cala.

On Monday, the big day of the Bonfires, a mass will take place in this same church at noon, which will be followed by the firing of a mascletà starting at 2 p.m. on Murtal Street. At night, starting at 10:30 p.m., the Noche de la Cremà will begin, in which this year's children's and adult monuments will be reduced to ashes to end this festive cycle and give way to the beginning of Hogueras 2025.
