Nearly 2,000 people have voted to choose the best tapa among those offered by the 18 participating establishments
'Hello Raffaella', winner of Benidorm Fest Tapas Contest
'Hello Raffaella', the tapa made by Pinocchio Playa, has been the winner of the 1st Benidorm Fest Tapas Contest organized by the Association of Bars, Restaurants, and Cafes (Abreca). This has been decided by the vote of the diners, who have considered that this ingot of polenta with Parmesan cream, veal ossobuco with vegetables, and crispy risotto have been the most succulent tapas of those offered by the 18 establishments in the city that have participated in the contest.
The popular vote has recognized the 'Explosión Ibérica' of the Taberna Andaluza in second place, while the 'Seta Morcillona del Benidorm Fest' of El Mesón has been the third with the most support.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, has been in charge of delivering the trophy to the winning establishment of the contest, which has had a "very high" level of participation.
Toni Pérez has applauded Abreca's initiative, which contributes to "the Benidorm brand" and which is part of "within the programming that the city should promote" around the Benidorm Fest, an event that has "international relevance" and that “we all add up”.
From Abreca, Álex Fratini thanked the 18 establishments for their participation and how they have devoted themselves to this event, which through television has made it possible to show "the quality of local gastronomy" nationwide. Likewise, he has thanked the support of the Benidorm City Council and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana for this I Benidorm Fest Tapas Contest.
After the awards ceremony, he has raffled a double ticket for the final gala of the Benidorm Fest to be held tomorrow, Saturday, February 4, among the nearly 2,000 people who have voted for their favorite tapa through the GastroEventos app. The winner of this raffle has been the person identified with the number 528, named David, and with whom Abreca will contact to deliver his prize.
