Great success of the SM L'Illa concert on the occasion of International Women's Day
The auditorium of the Benidorm Cultural Center yesterday recorded an excellent entry on the occasion of the celebration of the concert offered by the L'Illa de Benidorm Musical Societat to commemorate 8-M, International Women's Day. A concert included in the program of events for this anniversary and included in the 'Culture for Equality' cycle was titled 'Dones i Musica: un binomi creatiu' and was part of the 'XXIX Campanya de Música als pobles' '.
It was the third of the events scheduled to commemorate 8-M after the conference last Tuesday by Ángeles Valdivieso on 'Women in the Bauhaus' and the XXIII Meeting of Women of the Marina Baixa that was held on Friday, March 1 at the Auditori from La Nucía.
The program comprised two parts. In the first, the pasodoble 'Llamas de arte' by María Dolores Soriano, the work 'Under the bridge of Las Palmas' by María José Belenguer, and 'Stonege' by Sara Galiana was performed. The second part began with the pasodoble 'Luisa Font', by composer Andrea Picó, continued with 'Cleopatra' by Amparo Edo and closed with the medieval poem 'Joan of Arc' by Ferrer Ferrán. The concert was directed by Inma Mateu and Felip Lanuza.
