This afternoon Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera has hosted the Festival Music Concert which, on the occasion of «Dia de les Penyes» and organized by the Penyes Association 'Verge del Sofratge' in collaboration with the City Council, performed by Societat Musical l'Illa de Benidorm under the direction of maestro Felipe Juan Lanuza.

Around 200 people have gathered in the large central square of the park in a space enabled to the current health situation and the consequent mandatory use of a mask. Among the attendees, the acting mayor, Ana Pellicer and the councilors of Festivities and Culture, Jesús Carrobles and Jaime Jesús Pérez, leading the large representation of the municipal corporation.

In the hemicycle, the Queen of Festes Majors Patronals 2021, Paula Pérez; the president of the Commission, Batiste Rostoll; and that of l’Associació de Penyes, Adrián Romero.

The Societat Musical l'Illa de Benidorm has begun its concert with the interpretation of 'El K'Sar El Yedid', by Camilo Pérez Monllor and, next, 'Suite de Suites, by Francisco Amat, with its three parts: I de la mar a Biar, II Song, and III Jota.

The audition continued with the symphonic poem ‘Alejandro Magno’, by Miquel Morales;  'Pasodoble Festa Major, by Josep Cano; ‘Pérez Barceló’, by Bernabé Sanchis Porta; ‘Pinyet i Penyeta’, pasodoble dedicated to Assocació de Penyes ‘Verge del Sofratge’ and its official anthem, by Josep Cano. The concert ended with the official anthem of Festes Majors Patronals, ‘Fiesta en Benidorm’, by maestro Rafael Doménech Pardo.
