About 40,000 people gather to celebrate the 'Fancy Dress Party', most of them costumed British tourists who have taken over the main streets of Rincón de Loix. With color and a good atmosphere, attendees gathered at this grandiose and gigantic costume party, the largest in Europe, which, once again, has filled this neighborhood of the city with imagination and humor.

Since the morning, hundreds of tourists dressed in their costumes have been seen distributed throughout the local establishments. But it was at 3 p.m. when the most anticipated moment of the day began; the spectacular parade of floats, accompanied by bands, drums, DJs, dance groups, etc.

The mayor, Toni Pérez, went there and enjoyed the parade together with the Councilor for Events and Citizen Security, Jesús Carrobles, and some members of the corporation.

Around twenty floats have paraded through Lepanto, Derramador, and Gerona streets, raising the applause of attendees along the route. This celebration, which had its origins in the idea of local businessman Manuel Nieto, has already become a reference for British tourists, many of whom book their holidays with this event in mind. The organizers have indicated that this year the attendance figure for 2022 has been reached and perhaps exceeded, the year in which pre-pandemic figures were exceeded.
