El Rocío Brotherhood imposes the medal on the new president
El Rocío Brotherhood in Benidorm has renewed its board of directors, which for the next four years will be headed by Jesús Malumbres, who was awarded the medal accrediting his position yesterday during the Saturday mass held in the parish of La Almudena. A mass and a transfer of powers attended by, among others, the mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; members of the municipal Corporation; the president of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, Vicente Solaz; as well as representatives of festive, religious and cultural entities of the city.
During the act, the mayor recognized the work carried out during the pandemic by the Brotherhood, which Juan Carlos Benavente has presided over for the last four years; and conveyed to the new board of directors his best wishes, among them, that the entity always maintains its desire to support those who need it.
The act closed with the singing to the Virgen del Rocío, whose carving is kept in the parish of La Almudena.
