Albert Alcaraz Santonja and José Rubio Malagón compile histories of Benidorm as illustrated literary postcards in a carefree key
“El encanto de Babel. De las geografías e historias de Benidorm”, is presented tomorrow
In an event organized by the Department of Culture, the book "El encanto de Babel, de las geografías e historias de Benidorm" will be presented tomorrow afternoon in the Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council.
The book, in forty chapters -and as many other plates- plus a prologue and acknowledgements, reviews the singularities and details of Benidorm that go up to La Cruz, El Tossal and Sierra Helada with the same detail as they go down to the seabed of the bay, portraying ideas and concepts, recalling in illustrated literary postcards local stories, characters and places that make up stories, anecdotes, experiences and unique moments of the city.
Albert Alcaraz Santonja and José Rubio Malagón tell us from a different perspective than the usual orthodoxy of the traditional book, in an entertaining and fun way, bringing smiles to every drawing, a new vision of Benidorm through the professional seriousness of the pen.
The event will take place at 7:30 p.m.
