The delegation of the Three Wise Men camps at l’Aigüera in Benidorm

The delegation of the Three Wise Men camps at l’Aigüera in Benidorm...

This morning the camp of The Three Wise Men opened its doors in l’Aigüera Park in Benidorm. Around 12,000 m2, with a 500-meter marked linear route, in which the story 'The story of the Magi from the East' is represented, divided into five thematic areas: Herod, The Shepherds, The Christmas Star, The royal camp and the Birth.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez and the councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, visited the facility this morning to greet the delegation of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar who, from today and on their behalf, classify and organize the letters with the requests of the children from Benidorm so that, during the early morning of the 6th, the Kings of the East visit their homes.

The camp is a space that guarantees the safety of children and their families in the framework of the pandemic caused by Covid-19. It incorporates all the hygienic-sanitary measures and controls access to the different areas. "Having the royal camp in Benidorm - Toni Pérez has said - is the announcement that the Three Wise Men from the East, Their Royal Majesties, will come to Benidorm next January 5 faithful to their appointment." "There is no pandemic - he has specified - that can avoid and that day everyone will be able to enjoy their visit to the city again."

The mayor recalled that since 2015, ‘The story of the Magi from the East’ is the story “on which our parade is based” that this year, due to the pandemic, cannot be celebrated. For this reason, the Department of Fiestas, together with the royal emissaries from the East, have set up the camp in l’Aigüera “so that everyone can enjoy the story of the Three Kings”.

Along the way, children and their families can move to Judea in the first century, in which the evil Herod reigned protected by the legions of the Roman Empire and where a star announced the birth of a very special child whom the wise men from the East came to worship.

The enclosure will open its doors until the 6th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the morning and from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the afternoon. The control measures applied by the Fiestas Department guarantee that it can be travelled by up to 400 people per hour. To visit it, you must purchase the ticket in advance and select the visiting hours at www.beninadal.com. The ticket has a symbolic cost of 1.5 with which the management and capacity control expenses are covered.
