Course to obtain the navigation license in Benidorm
The Youth Council has organized a face-to-face course to obtain the navigation license, a card that replaces the old licence that allows the driving of boats up to six meters in length and any kind of jet ski
The course will take place on July 31st. It will have a first theoretical part of two hours online and a second with four certified safety and navigation practices, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the open sea. All subjects will be taught by qualified professionals. After completing both phases, the student obtains the navigation license.
With this card, the owner is attributed the driving of boats (fishing, sailing or recreational) up to 6 meters in length and navigation at a maximum distance from the coast of 2 nautical miles in any direction of a port during the day. In addition, the driving of watercraft without power limits, even those of type C with more than 110 hp.
To enroll in the course it is necessary to be of legal age or 16 years, as long as the consent of the parents or guardians is accredited in writing. The price, all inclusive, is 130 euros. Registrations must be made at the Youth Information Center, located on the ground floor of the Town Hall.
