Continuing with the celebration of the day, the City Council has illuminated the emblematic Castell and the Paseo de Levante in blue and white, the colours of Benidorm.
The commemorative events of the anniversary will continue today, Thursday, at 6:00 p.m., in Elche Park, where the Independent Association of Merchants of Benidorm (AICO), with the collaboration of the Departments of Commerce and Festivals, will install the now traditional market ' Benidorm Medieval' which will remain open until Sunday.
On Saturday, the Grup Carta de Poblament at 9:00 p.m. will perform at Plaça de Sant Jaume the 'Atorgament de la Carta de Poblament', based on a text by Pasqual Almiñana, which stages the moment in which Admiral Bernat de Sarrià granted the Carta Pobla to this unique enclave that, 699 years later, is the Benidorm that we all know today.
