The concert 'La Europa galante' by Ensemble 'Il Valenciano' closes the cycle of Great Recitals of Benidorm
Ensemble 'Il Valenciano' ended last night, Friday, the cycle of Great Recitals organized by the Department of Culture for September and October. Under the title 'La Europa Galante', the concert brought together a large audience in the Assembly Hall of the Benidorm City Council, among whom was the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation.
Ensemble 'Il Valenciano' is made up of Gonzalo Devesa (oboe), Isabel López (viola), Jorge Fanjul (cello), Javier Caballero (harpsichord), and Fernando Pascual (violin), musicians with extensive careers who on numerous occasions provoked applause from the audience with the interpretation of the pieces selected for this musical event.
The program, which used the word 'gallant' for the title to refer to what in musical Europe at the beginning of the 18th century referred to everything modern, soft, and sophisticated, pieces such as the Sonata in My Minor for oboe, violin, viola, and basso continuo by J.M. Molter; the Sonata in G minor for oboe and continuo by C.P.E. Bach; the Sonata for three for oboe, violin and basso continuo in G minor by G.F. Handel; and the Quadro in G minor for oboe, violin, viola and basso continuo by J.G. Janitsch.
