More than 300 people enjoy the Baroque music of Bach, Handel, Böhm, Walther and Mozart in Sant Jaume i Santa Anna

Concert by Benantzi Bilbao and Sant Joan Symphony Orchestra at Benidorm International Organ Festival

The parish church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna hosted the third of the concerts of the eleventh edition of the Benidorm International Organ Festival which brought together the organist Benantzi Bilbao with the Sant Joan Symphony Orchestra.

With a full temple and Juan Antonio Espionosa as director, it was possible to enjoy a selection of Baroque works. Among the more than 300 attendees, and in institutional representation, the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno.

After 8:00 p.m., Benantzi Bilbao played  'Toccata and fugue in D minor BWM 565' by Johann Sebastian Bach on the organ and, next, with the orchestra, 'Concierto Op 4 No. 1 in G Major' by George Friderich Handel. The recital was completed with the 'Choral Prelude: Vater unser im Himmelreich', by Gerg Böhm; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 'Church Sonata K 336 in C Major No. 15';  ‘Concerto del Signor Taglietti appropriate all’Organo, by Johan Gottfried Walther, and ‘Op 4 No. 6 in B flat major’ by Handel.

The fourth of the concerts of Benidorm International Organ Festival will take place, on the same stage, on May 19, with Paco Amaya and Francisco Varoch.
