The 2025 Commission for Major Patron Festivities presented its Official Book in Benidorm Town Hall Assembly Hall, which was packed with people waiting to hear all the details of the upcoming festivities, scheduled for November 8-12.
The president of the Commission, Susana Martínez, along with the queens of the Major Patronal Festivals, Paula Pascual and Aitana Pérez, were in charge, along with the mayor, Toni Pérez, of presenting the Official Book to the authorities, courts of honour, collaborators, and representatives of the festival world.
Attendees included, in addition to the mayor, the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, and other members of the municipal council; Senator Agustín Almodóbar; the regional secretary for Housing, Sebastián Fernández; the director general of Family and Children, Angélica Such; the regional representatives, José Ramón González de Zárate, Manuel Pérez Fenoll, and Mario Villar; the president of the Association of Verge del Sofratge Penyes, Jonathan López; and representatives of various local social, cultural, and festive organisations.
During the presentation, the main contents of the book were detailed, highlighting the quality of its design, photographs, articles, and literary contributions. The work of the designer Begoña Caballero, who created the poster announcing the festivities and also the book cover, was also recognised. She presented facsimiles of her work to local authorities, queens, and ladies.
In addition to the festival program, the audience was able to learn about the 2025 town crier: Francisco Saval, a jurist and former Benidorm councillor, a figure closely linked to the festivities, especially the Association of Verge del Sofratge Penyes, and the culture and social life of Benidorm. Saval will be in charge of officially opening the festivities with his proclamation after the floral offering to Our Lady on Saturday.

Days "when Benidorm explodes after preparing hard throughout the year."
The mayor highlighted the program of activities organised by the Commission, "the best festivities we could imagine," he emphasised, and, in particular, the Cultural Week of the Major Patronal Festivals, "packed with activities." Toni Pérez concluded his presentation by recalling the "calendar dates that are notable in Benidorm": the Coronation Day of our queens; March 16, the Discovery of the image of the Virgin; July 25, Sant Jaume Day; and, of course, the Saturday of the festivities.
