Commerce publishes the definitive list of #BenidormTeEspera contest with nearly 2,800 participants

The Department of Commerce, directed by Lorenzo Martínez, has published today the final list of participation in #BenidormTeEspera contest, once the four-day period given to establishments and professionals to solve possible incidents in the registration has finished. According to the data transferred by the mayor, Toni Pérez, “finally, after the process of reviewing the duplication of applications and resolving incidents, nearly 2,800 establishments and professionals have participated, exceeding the effective registrations of the Contest by more than 1,100 Christmas Window Dressing, predecessor initiative of this #BenidormTeEspera ”.

“ #BenidormTeEspera contest –he added- with which, in view of these participation figures, the City Council injects about 1.4 million euros into the local productive fabric through general accesses of 500 euros per participant and 6,000 euros of prizes reserved for the three best decorations ”.

In this regard, Toni Pérez has advanced that “next week, coinciding with the final stretch of the contest, the name of the three winning establishments will be announced, which will receive 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 euros respectively, and the prizes for the rest of participating establishments will begin to be paid, 2,770 participants ”. In recent days, the technical jury has been viewing the publications made by the participants on their social networks to evaluate the decoration of each of the establishments or vehicles in relation to the criteria established in the contest rules, and visiting those who have obtained the best score to make a face-to-face assessment of them.

The mayor thanked all participating establishments and transport vehicles "for their involvement in this municipal initiative, which has contributed to increasing the visibility of Benidorm on social networks and boosting the activity and image of the city in two key moments such as Valentine's Day and San José long weekend, showing potential visitors what awaits them at our destination once the reactivation of mobility is a fact ”.

As Toni Pérez recalled, #BenidormTeEspera "is part of the measures designed by the City Council to support the local productive fabric against the effects of the pandemic." An initiative that, in view of the participation figures, "has been valued very positively by the productive fabric of the city, which has also found in this contest a showcase to show its activity, effort and good work".
