The Civil Guard celebrates in Benidorm the festivity of its patroness saint, Virgin of Pilar
Today, October 12, the Civil Guard of Benidorm has celebrated the festivity of its patroness saint, Virgen del Pilar and National Holiday of Spain.
The day has begun at 12.00 noon with a mass at the Parish of Our Lady of Almudena, in Colonia Madrid district, where the mayor, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, has accompanied the benevolent body in this day , and representatives of the three municipal political groups.
Also present at the event were the national deputy, Agustín Almodóbar; the lieutenant of the Civil Guard, Juan Palomares; the Chief Commissioner of the Local Police, Juan Fuertes; the Chief Commissioner of the National National Police Corps in Benidorm, Ceferino Serrano; the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals 2019, Marina Carrillo and Paula Mayor; the president of the Comissió ’, Roberto Carretero; and a large representation of the city's social groups.
Once the religious act is finished, and without leaving the temple, retired guard Arcadio Mora, has declared a poem in memory of the companions who gave their lives for the Body and at the same time has served as a homage to all its members. Subsequently, the anthem of the Civil Guard has been interpreted. The day of celebration in Benidorm has continued with a reception in its headquarters in Capital Cortés Street.
