The city begins its activities today, which this afternoon celebrates with a welcome party at the Cultural Center
The City Council is hosting an exhibition that traces the history of Benidorm Fest and the Song Festival
Benidorm Town Hall lobby is hosting a commemorative exhibition of Benidorm Fest and Benidorm Song Festival, which opened this afternoon. The exhibition offers a trace of the history of both events, featuring documents, records, press clippings, trophies, posters, and more.
This is the first event organised for the sixth edition of Benidorm Fest, whose semi-final galas will be held on February 10th and 12th, with the grand final on Saturday the 14th, at Palau d’Esports L’Illa de Benidorm. Earlier this afternoon, at the Cultural Centre, the participating artists will walk the fuchsia carpet for a photocall, and the Welcome Party will begin at 8:00 PM. Afterwards, from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, the renowned DJ Tony Aguilar will perform, followed by an after-party at the Hotel Don Pancho.
But first, the authorities visited the exhibition in the City Hall lobby. Mayor Toni Pérez, along with the Councillor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, and other members of the council, attended. Also present from RTVE were the Director of Communications, María Eizaguirre; the Director of the RTVE Archives, Virginia Bazán-Gil; and members of the public broadcaster's Board of Directors, Rosa León and Angélica Rubio.
During the visit, the mayor highlighted "the value of the RTVE and Benidorm City Council archives and the excellent collaboration between the two entities, which demonstrates the outstanding work being done."
