The City Council extends the deadline to participate in the consultation of the Urban Agenda until the 18th

Benidorm City Council has extended the deadline for participating in the public consultation for the preparation of the Urban Agenda until February 18. This was announced on Thursday by Mayor Toni Pérez and the Councillor for European Funds, Aida García Mayor, who explained that the extension of the participation period, which is open to all citizens, responds to the "desire to be able to count on the greatest number of participants possible, and thus achieve a more complete and representative diagnosis of our urban reality" as a preliminary step to the final drafting of this document.
As already announced, the Urban Agenda is a strategic document on which decisions will be based on territorial and urban policy between now and 2030 and which will mark the future of the city under the principles of environmental, social and economic sustainability. The aim of the consultation is, therefore, to “define a long-term municipal model and achieve a more sustainable, fair and intelligent city by 2030”, as stated by the councillor García Mayor.
To participate in this consultation with citizens, any interested person can fill out the form which can be accessed from the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfx0QdQevT_F5flPexQbHsLVtihVAm… .
This questionnaire, which can be filled out until 18 February, allows any citizen, simply, to give their opinion on the weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities that have been identified in the city and offer other options, comments and ideas to be able to carry out a complete diagnosis of the starting situation.
Both the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, and the councillor for European Funds have invited citizens who have not yet done so to “take part in this important process with which we will all be able to define what we want Benidorm to be like in the coming years” and have publicly thanked those who have already participated in it for their collaboration.
