The City Council delivers masks tomorrow to the registered population from 18 to 65 years

14 July 2020
El Ayuntamiento entrega mañana mascarillas a la población empadronada de 18 a 65 años

Benidorm City Council carries out tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15, "a new massive delivery of masks to the registered population, in this case people who are in the age group of 18 to 65 years," as the mayor, Toni, has transferred today. Pérez, who has stressed that "in the absence of a vaccine, prevention and responsibility are the most effective measures to combat Covid-19".

Like last week, when masks were supplied to those over 65, this delivery will be made at the six points enabled by the City Council for the ‘Menjadors a casa’ municipal program, from 09:30 to 13:30. To pick up the masks, simply provide your ID at the point closest to your home: Casa del Fester, ‘José Llorca Linares’ and La Torreta social centers, and CEIPs El Murtal, Ausiàs March and Els Tolls.

Toni Pérez recalled that "the health regulations issued by the Government of Spain establish that it is mandatory to wear a mask as long as a physical distance of at least 1.5 meters cannot be maintained"; and added that "from the City Council, we will continue working on prevention, facilitating these protection systems for the registered population". "Attention to the population, especially the most vulnerable, has been a priority for this City Council since the pandemic began and it will continue to be so," he said.

As on previous occasions, municipal staff and volunteers from Collective Aid Network (#RAC) will attend the six points enabled for the distribution of masks, where they will also proceed to deliver the weekly menus of the 'Menjadors a casa' program, which the City Council will maintain it throughout the month of July.

The mayor added that "in addition to the distribution of masks made last week to those over 65 and the one that we will carry out tomorrow, we are also delivering these protection systems to the child population that attends programs and activities organized by the City Council or that they are users of municipal offices ”.

Thus, “we are already delivering masks among the child population that throughout the summer participates in the courses of municipal sports schools and in the Summer Educational Support Program (PAEV), or the one that attends the 'Teatre d' shows. 'Estiu' organized by the Department of Culture in Foietes Park ”. They are also receiving masks "the boys and girls who go to the municipal library and the students of 2 to 3 years of the municipal nursery schools".
