Christmas comes to Benidorm with BeniNadal
In Benidorm it is already Christmas. This afternoon, a day late due to the rain that fell yesterday in Benidorm, Santa Claus finally arrived at l'Hort de Colón where he will spend his Christmas holidays, just like another tourist.
At 5:00 p.m., l'Hort de Colón opened its doors to the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Aila Merenciao and Chloé D'Hebbout, their court of honor and hundreds of residents and visitors who gathered to greet Santa Claus. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the councilors for Fiestas and Historical and Cultural Heritage, Jesús Carrobles and Ana Pellicer, together with other members of the municipal Corporation have accompanied the highest representatives of our fiestas. The meeting was not missed either by the provincial deputy for Architecture, José Ramón González de Zárate, the vice president of the Comissió de Festes Patronals, Pepe Pérez Sirvent, or the president of the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge', Adrián Romero.
After the reception at l'Hort de Colón, the queens and authorities went to the Plaza de Sus Majestades Los Reyes de España where, at 6:00 p.m., the countdown began for the inauguration of Plaza de la Navidad, the epicenter of the Christmas holidays, which will remain open until January 8. Thousands of people crowded there waiting to enjoy a spectacle of light, fire, and color that filled all attendees with emotion, especially the little ones.

Tras el espectáculo, en el vestíbulo del Ayuntamiento ha abierto sus puertas un gran Belén realizado por la Asociación Belenistas ‘Amics del Betlem’ de Benidorm, al tiempo que la Plaza de la Navidad lucía en todo su esplendor con su pista de patinaje sobre hielo, sus atracciones infantiles o sus puestos de comida.
