Cemeteries announce special bus services and schedules for All Saints' Day

Benidorm City Council's Cemeteries Department announced this Monday the special public transport services and schedules that will be implemented in observance of All Saints' Day. The councillor for the department, Jaime Jesús Pérez, explained that "as is customary during the days before and after this holiday, both cemeteries, the 'Verge del Sofratge' and the 'Sant Jaume' cemeteries, have extended hours and a special bus service to make it as easy as possible for citizens to visit the cemeteries to visit their deceased."

Specifically, from Monday the 27th to Wednesday the 30th, a bus will depart from Avenida Jaime I near the Bonanza Hotel at 9:15 a.m., and at 9:30 a.m., it will depart from the stop on Avenida del Mediterráneo closest to Plaza de la Hispanidad. The return trip from the Sant Jaume Cemetery will be at 12:00 p.m. The frequency of this bus will be increased on October 31st and November 2nd, with departures from the same Jaime I bus stop at 10:30, 11:30, 4:30, and 5:30 p.m., and from the Avenida del Mediterráneo bus stop at 10:40, 11:40, 4:40, and 5:40 p.m. The service from the cemetery will be at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

Likewise, on Saturday, November 1st, All Saints' Day, buses will depart from Jaime I Avenue bus stop at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m., as well as at 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. As for the Mediterráneo stop, the same routes will depart, albeit 10 minutes later: 9:40, 10:40, 11:40, 12:40, 1:40, 2:40, 3:40, 4:40, and 5:40.

Return buses from the Cemetery will operate during peak hours, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Furthermore, the Councillor for Cemeteries also reminded residents that citizens wishing to travel to Sant Jaume Cemetery in their private vehicles will only be able to do so via the access road provided from the industrial estate, as the usual access road remains closed due to roadworks.
