El libro ‘Benidorm, donde el sol sale para todos’ recauda casi 3.500 euros para el Doble Amor

This morning the award ceremony of the benefits obtained from the sale of the book "Benidorm, done el sol sale para todos" for Doble Amor Center took place. It was in the facilities of the center itself, which was attended by the editor, Vicente Sanjuan; the co-authors and representatives of La Pandilla, Elvira Contreras López, Francisco Javier Muro González and Maribel Torres Limiñana; as well as the vice president of the Doble Amor association, José Luis Calvo, José Manuel López, member of the board, and Luis Alfonso Muñoz, director of the Doble Amor Center, to whom the donation of 3,485 euros has been delivered.

The book was written two years ago by Francisco Javier Reverte Lledó, Pancho, to bring together the members of a large and heterogeneous gang from Benidorm that was formed in the 70s. The copy includes thirty stories, written by its protagonists, fundamentally framed in the Benidorm of the seventies.

The publication of the book has been financed by the authors themselves to donate the profits from the sale of the book to Doble Amor Center, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.

The project has had since its inception with the collaboration of Benidorm City Council, which has focused on its dissemination and the acquisition of copies.

The book has had an affectionate reception among the people of Benidorm and from many people who have shown interest in the idea and have bought copies in the city's bookstores.
