Benidorm will update the municipal budget before taking it to the plenary session

The new team of government of Benidorm will update the municipal budget of 2019 before taking it to full for approval, following the criteria passed today by the technicians of the Economic Area, who consider it convenient to update the document and adapt it to accounting circumstances that have arisen in the more than two months elapsed since its preparation that would affect the Investment section.

In view of these assessments, the mayor, Toni Pérez, has decided to call off the extraordinary budget meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, June 25, postponing until the document of the accounts for 2019 is updated. A document that was favorably passed on the Finance Commission on April 24 - several weeks after its referral to the corporation's groups - and that was later withdrawn from the plenary session by the opposition.

In this way, next Tuesday will only be held the extraordinary full municipal organization. In this plenary, scheduled for 09.00, the periodicity of the plenary sessions, the creation and composition of the informative commissions, or the remuneration to be received by the members of the corporation and the eventual staff will be approved, among other matters. Likewise, the constitution of the municipal groups and the designation of the spokespersons of each of them will be reported.
