Benidorm will tender the improvement of the drain system in Orts Llorca Avenue financed 100% by the Provincial Council
Benidorm City Hall will tender the works to improve the network of rain on Doctor Orts Llorca Avenue, aimed at alleviating the flooding that historically occurs in that area when it rains with some intensity and cause problems. A work financed 100% by the Provincial Council of Alicante, through a nominative subsidy amounting to 748,112 euros.
This morning the mayor, Toni Pérez, has signed an agreement with the president of the Provincial Council, César Sánchez, and the Provincial deputy of Works, Bernabé Cano, so that the City Council is responsible for the bidding and execution of this work to expedite the deadlines.
The mayor explained that "this work of improving the drainage of rain is much needed and very welcome" because it will reduce significantly "the damage caused by rains," and thus to "avoid many troubles to merchants in the area. " A facility that for years has required investments have not reached yet.
Pérez thanked César Sánchez the involvement of the Provincial Council with Benidorm to subsidize the total amount of this work.
The president of the Provincial Council stressed the commitment of the mayor for undertaking this action, "a work that is not seen but which allows for quality of life in the city, in this case preventing damage to businesses and homes when it rains".
Besides the draft prepared by the municipal technicians also includes urbanizing that stretch and changing sidewalks. The deadline for execution of the work is four months.
