Benidorm will be an 'affected party’ in the legal proceedings for Punta Llisera Towers
Benidorm City Council is going to act as an affected party ’in the judicial procedure that is being followed in the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJ) in relation to the construction of the towers of Punta Llisera. This has been communicated today to the groups of the corporation in a Board of Spokespersons, where the groups has been informed about the decree signed by the mayor, Toni Pérez, which will be ratified in the next plenary session.
According to the report issued by the Secretary department at the request of the mayor, at the present procedural moment, those who are materially affected by a sentence may participate even if they have not intervened in the process. Hence, the persence of the City Council as an "affected party" is protected by the execution of the resolutions adopted by the TSJ in relation to Punta Llisera Towers.
In this sense, the report states that "it is obvious" that the execution of judicial decisions in this matter "significantly affects Benidorm both because of the size of the action and its location, very close to the coastline and urban beaches" from the city. In addition, there is the circumstance that the City Council should intervene in them "even if it is responsible for urban and environmental authorizations."
