Benidorm will award its Corporate Medal to the two people who saved the life of a third in a polling station on 10N
The delivery of the recognition will be on December 6 during the full institutional Constitution Day
Benidorm will grant the city's Corporate Medal to the neighbors Estefanía Gomis Ortiz and Jorge Navarro Roldán, doctor and medical student respectively, that on November 10, during the course of the voting day of the General Elections, saved the life of a woman in a polling station. The proposal has been unanimously supported by the groups of the Corporation after the celebration of a Board of Spokesmen convened today by the mayor, Toni Pérez.
The events occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. on November 10 at the polling station located in La Torreta social center, when the victim, who was acting as a board member at one of the tables, was indisposed. After losing consciousness, the president of another table, a doctor by profession, and a voter, a medical student, successfully practiced the woman cardiopulmonary breathing maneuvers, managing to recover and stabilize her until the arrival of the SAMU and transfer to a health center .
With this Corporate Medal, both are recognized for the fulfillment, beyond the code of ethics, of the citizen's duty to help and care for a person at risk of death; as well as for his delivery and rapid intervention, which allowed to save the life of this woman.
The delivery of the Corporate Medal to Estefanía Gomis Ortiz and Jorge Navarro Roldán will take place during the institutional act of Constitution Day, which will take place on December 6 at noon in the Castell.
