Benidorm updates its census of establishments and will be "relentless" with those without a license
The councillor reported that in Benidorm there are registered 4.661 establishments . Of these, 3.371 met the legality , while 166 have no opening license , and 120 are under inspection .
Conrado Hernández predicted that "the City Council will be very scrupulous with the compliance of the current regulations".
The Councillor of Commerce said they are " aware of the personal and financial effort that many small business owners are doing to keep their businesses and pay for rates required to open a business." Therefore he considers that it is an "unfair competition" to those who do not act within the law , because " thanks to the efforts of my predecessors and the municipal officers any entrepreneur can get the license to open in less than a month." Hernández said that the City Council will be " inflexible with those who persist in doing business without a license " and announced that "those who do not obey the regulations will be ceased in the activity."
