Starting this Tuesday, after the government decreed the resumption of non-essential activities, the works and repairs on public roads and gardening will resume.
Benidorm takes advantage of the confinement to act in areas usually crowded of people
Benidorm City Council is going to take advantage of the period of confinement to carry out improvement actions in areas of the city that are usually very crowded and that "in a moment of normality would cause inconvenience to pedestrians and merchants", as indicated by the mayor, Toni Pérez . These improvement works begin this Tuesday, April 14, once the Government of Spain has decreed the restart of non-essential activities, which include works on public roads or maintenance of green areas.
The mayor explained that "taking advantage of the absence of pedestrians and commercial activity, we have given priority to improvement works at these points, so that they are finished or at least very advanced when the state of alarm rises and the city recovers its normal activity" . "In this way, we minimize affections and inconvenience to citizens," he added.
These actions will be carried out by the municipal Technical Services, the concessionaire of the parks and gardens, and the companies awarded the public works that are being carried out in the city. In all cases, the City Council will observe strict compliance with the health and safety measures for personnel established by the Government of Spain when decreeing the restart of these activities at the national level.
