The City Council promotes the VI Benidorm Workshop and joins the 'Et Formem' plan designed by the Regional Ministry
Benidorm starts two employment programs with which it will hire and train 40 unemployed
Benidorm City Council, through the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) directed by Mª Jesús Pinto, has launched two new employment programs, subsidized by Servef, which will allow hiring and training 40 unemployed from the town .
The first of these projects is the VI Benidorm Employment Workshop, which took place since December 29 in two training specialties: 'Auxiliary activities of nurseries, gardens and garden centers' and 'Local tourism promotion and visitor information'. Each of the modalities has 10 students who will receive theoretical and practical training for 12 months and will receive the minimum interprofessional salary. During this period the students will carry out actions to improve public infrastructure or provide municipal services.
Thus, the students of the gardening mode will focus on the adaptation of the environment of the Séquia Mare to integrate landscape in the future park the garden area and the pine forest. On the other hand, the students of the second block will collaborate and help in the tourist promotion of Benidorm in the information offices and in the Department of Tourism.
The total cost of this annual project is 448,146.67 euros, of which the Servef contributes 389,059.20 euros and the City Council the remaining 59,087.47 euros.
In addition, the City Council has joined the program 'Et Formem' of the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, which raises the employment of people at risk of social exclusion. Within this program, Benidorm has proposed two training modalities: 'Auxiliary operations of administrative and general services' and 'Auxiliary operations in the organization of activities and operation of sports facilities'.
In each of these modalities, 10 students will be hired, who will receive the minimum interprofessional salary during the 4 months of the program, which also began on December 29.
The 10 students of the first block will provide services of attention and information to the citizen in the social centers and in the offices and departments of the City Council that have their own information points. The 10 students of the second block will develop their activity in the different municipal sports facilities.
The cost of the project is 140,686.40 euros. Of them, the Servef assumes 129,686.40 euros, while the remaining 11,000 is contributed by the City Council.
