Benidorm starts on Monday the renovation of the avenue of Los Almendros and the improvement of several streets of the city center

Benidorm City Council starts Monday, October 16, five works of improvement of the urban scene that are added to the actions of the Accessibility Plan that began earlier this month and are currently concentrated in the Els Tolls neighborhood. According to the Councilor for Works and Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, the first of the projects that will begin next week is the second phase of renovation Los Almendros Avenue, which involves an investment of 150,000 euros.

De Zárate recalled that this work is subsidized with about 70,000 euros by the Ministry of Commerce and with it will remove the architectural barriers of the stretch between San Antonio and Paseo de Colón streets. The planting of trees and the installation of Wi-Fi will take place as well. The works will begin at the bottom of the avenue, in the area closest to Elche Park.

Besides on Monday the works of arrangement of the road in the streets Antonio Ramos Carratalá, Mercado and San José Artesano will begin, "three actions that are going to be realized with the improvements of the asphalting project of the avenues Villajoyosa and Mediterráneo". These arrangements will be executed between Monday and Wednesday in San José Artesano, and until Thursday in Mercado and Ramos Carratalá. The councillor has detailed that "first it is going to be proceed to the milling of the road and after the asphalting". The councillor has asked "apologies to the neighbors for the affections that these actions may cause for the traffic," and added that "we are going to do them as quickly as possible so that the inconvenience is minimal. "

Finally, on the same day 16 will start the improvement of Herrerías street, valued at about 70,000 euros and assumed by the company Consum, which recently has opened a new establishment here. The bulk of this work will be carried out until the first week of November, while the finishing touches will be done once the Patron Saint's Festivities are over.
