Benidorm hosts from today until next Sunday 7 May 'Medieval Benidorm' organized for the second consecutive year by the Independent Association of Merchants (AICO) and Abreca, with the collaboration of the Department of Commerce and Fiestas and coinciding with the commemorative events of the Charter of Poblament and with which it is wanted to promote the tourism of purchases.

The official inauguration of the medieval market of craftsmen installed in Park of Elche have beeen attended the Councilor of Fiestas Jesús Carrobles, the Councilor of Citizen Security Lorenzo Martínez and various members of the municipal corporation, accompanied by the president of AICO Raúl Parra, the president of the Commission of Major Festivals 2017 Antonio Vicente Fuster and the queens Ana Galiana Pérez and Àngela Antón Pérez who have visited a hundred stalls, among which are included those of local entities like Asmibe, AFEM, Aerbeco, the Commission of Festes Majors Patronals and the Association of Penyes. Apart from the stalls, the medieval market offers 50 entertainment shows, 48 ​​musical performances and several children's attractions.

Two other areas that were part of 'Medieval Benidorm' were also inaugurated. In the pedestrian section of Tomás Ortuño street there is a children's play area with attractions; and in Santo Domingo street, in which diverse establishments of restoration are added to the initiative with decoration and plates linked to that time.
