These works will complete the remodeling of one of the main arterial roads in Rincón de Loix
Benidorm renews the section of Ametlla del Mar Avenue between Roma and Paris streets
After renovating the section of Ametlla del Mar avenue between Juan Fuster Zaragoza and Zamora streets, Benidorm City Council is now going to act on the opposite sidewalk, the one that runs between Roma and Paris streets. An action that “will complete the total remodeling of Ametlla del Mar Avenue, one of the main arterial roads in Rincón de Loix, which in just a year and a half has made a qualitative leap at the aesthetic level and also in terms of hydraulic infrastructures ”, as indicated by the mayor of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate.
De Zárate explained that "at the moment the first testings are being carried out to plan this work, which in addition to changing the pavement includes the renovation of public lighting and the drinking water network, as well as planting of trees." Thus, the first action will consist of the installation of a provisional drinking water pipe "to maintain service while the new pipe is placed, with a larger diameter than the current one". An action assumed by the potable water and sewerage concessionaire, Hidraqua, under its Investment Plan 2020-2027.
The councillor, who also manages the Water Cycle department, has indicated that "the renovation of hydraulic infrastructures on Ametlla del Mar Avenue is essential to address the updating of the drinking water, sewerage and rainwater network in the upper part of the Rincón de Loix ”. In fact, once the problems of the network in the lower part of the neighborhood have been solved, the municipal technicians are already working on the renovation of two other main avenues, Estocolmo and Montecarlo, with the expectation of being able to act on them next year ”.
Once all the subsoil work has been carried out in the indicated section of Atmella del Mar “it will be the turn of the urban scene, with the placement of the pavement on the sidewalks, which will follow the same aesthetics as in the rest of Ametlla del Mar Avenue and all barriers restricting movement are eliminated using lugs to guarantee full accessibility. ” Subsequently, the new lighting and trees will be installed.
Regarding the section between Juan Fuster Zaragoza and Zamora, these urban scene works are included in the Maintenance and improvement of public roads contract. The entire performance is scheduled to be completed in approximately three to four weeks.
