Benidorm Pride 2018 recognizes the support of 'Turisme Generalitat Valenciana' with the award of the 'LGBT Tolerance Award'
The Autonomous Secretary of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Francesc Colomer, received yesterday the 'LGBT Tolerance Award' that Benidorm Pride organization awards each year to recognize the support and work on equality, as well as to promote an event that is now in its eighth edition in 2018 and is becoming an international benchmark.
The event was held at eight o'clock on Tuesday afternoon on the terrace of the attic of Melina hotel and was attended by the councillor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll, the councilors Lourdes Caselles and Jesús Carrobles, as well as the president of Hosbec, Toni Mayor, and the general secretary of the association, Nuria Montes.
Santos Torres was commissioned to present the recognition plaque to Francesc Colomer, who said that "talking about Benidorm is talking about an inexhaustible source of freedom" and added that "today is a day to exalt tourism, freedom and Benidorm '.
Yesterday was the third edition in which this award is given. In 2017 the recognition was jointly for Benidorm City Council and the Costa Blanca Tourist Board, while in 2016 it was for Visit Benidorm Foundation.
