Benidorm organizes in June a program of traditional and alternative sports and games for primary school students
Municipal sports technicians from the Department of Sports will develop during the month of June a specific plan of traditional and alternative games and sports for Primary students from all educational centers in Benidorm.
Through recreational-sports days, within school hours and possibilities of each educational center, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., students from 1st to 6th grade of Primary will be explained the possibilities of these sports modalities in bubble groups to comply with the measures and Covid protocols.
The initiative organized by the Department of Sports and Education focuses on recovering traditional and alternative sports and games from the general principles of entertainment, adapting sports practices to the epidemiological situation, taking advantage of spaces and materials, seeking to enhance cooperation and affective relationships of the students through the practice of traditional, popular and indigenous games, always encouraging participation.
The sports activities that will be developed, depending on the center and the availability, are: raspall, fronton tennis, mini-tennis, table tennis, floor-ball, human table football, chess, badminton, aerobics and giant ball.
The distribution of the students, the timetable, the availability of the timetable and the modalities to be developed will be carried out in coordination with the management and the teaching staff of each of the CEIPs with the municipal sports technicians.
