Benidorm launches its first Innovative Public Procurement process that begins with a Preliminary Market Consultation

As stated in the Citizen Portal of the municipal website of Benidorm City Council and it has been pointed out for a few months, Benidorm has launched an Innovative Public Procurement (CPI) procedure with the aim of improving public services through the acquisition of innovative solutions.

On Thursday 28, the first process begins, through a Preliminary Market Consultation, which is part of Benidorm Master Plan as a Smart Tourist Destination (DTI + Safe), as an instrument to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the model through of the execution of R + D + i projects.

With this Innovative Public Procurement procedure, the Councilor for Innovation Aida García Mayor has highlighted, "Benidorm City Council intends to satisfy unmet needs, as well as to improve the services it provides, encouraging companies in the Community to develop innovative solutions" .

To this end, the event on Thursday 28th will be a Preliminary Market Consultation of the Innovative Public Procurement project through a webinar on the project "MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL PLATFORM OF PUBLIC WORKS" in the City of Benidorm to get the most suitable public works management software.

The project, said the councilor, "is based on promoting the development of unique innovation actions to contribute to the improvement of public services provided to citizens and tourists who visit us." For this, the Benidorm City Council, García Mayor pointed out, "is committed to Public Procurement of Innovation as a methodology for acquiring innovations that allow it to improve its management processes, offer a better public service and boost the market for technological solutions."

Innovative Public Procurement (CPI) is one of the strategic lines of action of the Department of Innovation and European Funds, in tune with the AVI -which acts as a financing body- and which focuses on granting purchasing capacity to the municipal administration to promote the development of innovations that not only raise the quality and efficiency of public services, but also contribute to improving the competitiveness of our companies.

The Preliminary Market Consultation is a process consisting of analyzing innovative ideas from economic operators and other knowledge agents that resolve unmet needs in terms of developing new solutions, as well as offering a solution to the proposed challenge, in the face of public procurement of such services.

On Thursday 28, the Public Procurement of Innovation process by the Valencian Innovation Agency will be explained and the public works management and control platform will be presented by Benidorm City Council, explaining below the participation formulas and finally attending to the questions and doubts of the assisting professionals. The arguments will be part of the future tender.
