Benidorm incorporates two new officers to the Local Police in secondment
Security and HR value covering as many vacancies as possible with service fees until the selective processes under way are completed
Benidorm City Council has added this week two new police officers to the staff of the Local Police in the form of secondment, "an officer and an agent who will strengthen the night shift and the surveillance service with dogs", as specified the Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez. In total, at this moment, Benidorm has eleven agents on secondment.
The mayor has stressed that "with these additions is the commitment of this government team to provide the largest number of personnel to the Local Police."
In this sense, it has been advanced that the Councilors of Citizen Security and Human Resources are "waiting to have the mandatory reports to see if we can budgetly continue to hire more staff in the form of commission of service", since the idea is to "cover , by means of this formula, all those vacancies that are vacant while the selective processes that we have in progress are solved. "
Martínez clarified that service commissions are used because "the new Local Police Coordination Law of the Valencian Community does not allow us to hire temporary agents", which means "a new challenge that we have to face". He has expressed his desire that this situation be solved favorably and to "be able to announce in the coming weeks that we have hired more officers to strengthen our Local Police".About the selective processes underway, he has referred to the oppositions called for the coverage of 20 seats of agent of the Local Police, which have been submitted a total of 750 applicants and whose tests are estimated to begin later this month or early February. To these places, the consolidation of another 14 will be added, as it is included in the 2017 Public Employment Offer.
