Benidorm improves the environment of Comunidad Valenciana avenue with the plantation of 62 palms
The City Council of Benidorm, through the concessionary company of parks and gardens -Actúa-, is improving the environment of Comunidad Valenciana avenue with the planting of high-rise palm trees. The mayor, Toni Pérez, has reported that "in total are going to plant 62 copies of the variety 'washingtonia robusta' of 3.5 meters" that "will contribute to improving the image of the main access road to Benidorm from l'Alfás del Pi and Altea, complementing the important actions that the City Council is carrying out in this avenue as the project of the Cyclist Ring and Séquia Mare Park ".
The operators of Actúa have already planted the first palms near the intersection of Comunidad Valenciana and Severo Ochoa avenues, known as 'Cruce del Estanquet'.
For its part, the councilman of Urban Scene, José Ramón González de Zárate, has indicated that "the cost of acquiring and planting these 62 copies, amounting to just over 60,600 euros, the concessionaire takes charge of the improvements that must be done annually, as established in the contract ". In this regard, he added that two other improvements have already been outlined from the Urban Scene.
