Visit Benidorm Foundation continues to work in the promotion of the city and in the diversification of tourist issuing markets. Therefore, he has recently participated in two professional conferences whose format has been workshop type, held in two destinations of great interest to the capital of the Costa Blanca such as Sweden and Iceland.
The first one, held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, is known as Travel News Market and is a private professional meeting organized by one of Sweden's most important B2B media.
220 exhibitors participated in it, around 1,200 visitors and Visit Benidorm had the opportunity to hold about twenty meetings with press media, bloggers and some Swedish tour operators, in order to continue to establish alliances and to publicize the offer Benidorm tour to boost its sale.
The second professional event, which was held in Iceland, was another professional meeting, held in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik and directed in this case to the Icelandic tourism sector.
In this case, Visit Benidorm has attended with tourism from the Valencian Community under the umbrella of Turespaña.
The event was attended by more than twenty travel agents and media. Benidorm had the opportunity to make a presentation of destination which was followed by a workshop with the attendees and then a dinner cocktail for networking.
Both the Swedish and the Icelandic market are of great interest to Benidorm, due to the high purchasing power of its population and the good existing air connectivity, counting direct flights between the two countries and the Alicante airport.
