Benidorm hosts the second edition of Surfea Boot Camp on DTI work systems
Benidorm will host the second edition of Surfea DTI Sustainable Intelligent Governance Boot Camp on September 11, 12, and 13, the format chosen by Smart Tourism for its summer school. Its purpose is to recreate a practical learning environment about real daily work situations in a smart tourist destination like Benidorm for professionals in the sector involved in the development and implementation of the DTI.
“A Boot Camp is a new way to exercise the participation of different public-private and academic actors, and that leads to an exercise in creativity, work tables, identification of challenges, and a call to action from a DTI management entity,” he said. transferred the Councilor for Innovation of Benidorm City Council, Aída García Mayor. The councilor has also highlighted “the importance of practical learning in the training of administration technicians who choose to be certified as DTI, of those already certified and of companies and companies that collaborate with the process”, pointing out that the fundamental thing is “ “be faced with real situations” that occur in the development of the activity.
Precisely, the realization of this II Boot Camp in Benidorm, the first Smart Tourist Destination certified in the world with the UNE 178501 standard, makes it eminently practical, sharing real cases of implementation in said destination. The chosen themes correspond to subjects directly linked to the Benidorm Show Case, transformed into challenges: standardization, data sharing space, 360 visibility, and tourist intelligence, to which three new challenges are added this year: artificial intelligence, intelligent destination platform national, and regenerative tourism.
The Boot Camp is aimed mainly at interdepartmental commissions and/or managing entities of other DTI municipalities, professionals in the sector, and Tourism students. All training is practical and knowledge is easily applicable to the daily activity of professionals in their municipalities and regions.
“This in-person and free training allows us to identify proposals and improvements on existing problems in the DTI municipalities, in an innovative didactic way and with the involvement of the different areas of the Benidorm City Council, business associations, and neighborhood commissions of the destination,” says Fernando Molina, responsible for Hub SdTI4H, co-organizer of the Boot Camp with the Phygital Tourist Intelligence store.
These proposals will be able to be aligned with actions to be carried out in the five strategic axes on which the destination is working: governance, sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and technology. The sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on September 11, 12, and 13, where each of the challenges will be addressed independently.
The team of trainers will have high-level professionals from organizations such as UNE Standards, Segittur, ICTE, Hosbec, Iurban, Ocity, UPV campus Gandía, Ciclops DTI, Tourist Intelligence, Deepsense, PRedif, Eviden by ATOS, Fi group.
