Benidorm hosts this Saturday the III Regatta of Liga Suma de Falucho Autonómica for Youth and Veterans

The waters of Benidorm host this Saturday, November 30, the III Regatta of Suma League of Falucho, which corresponds to Autonómica Championship for Youth and Veterans. The rowing test will depart at 09.00 hours from the immediate vicinity of the port and will cover Levante beach before moving to the island and from there moving back to the departure point. In total, participants will cover a distance of 9 kilometers, as reported today at a press conference the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros; the president of the Yacht Club, Jaime Samper; and Jaime Mas, Remo delegate of the entity.

Cebreros has indicated that "despite being the third regatta of the League is the first of Falucho", and has advanced that it is planned "the participation of 35 teams with a total of 315 athletes" in this test, organized the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community together with the Benidorm Yacht Club and the collaboration of the Department of Sports.

The mayor has pointed out that "the Yacht Club rows at home and participates with two teams: the female and male Veteran," to whom she wished luck.

The president of the Yacht Club has invited residents and visitors to follow the test and participate “of the beautiful spectacle that is going to be glimpsed from the entire upper part of the Castell and the dam of the harbor dock” from 09.00 hours.

For his part, the person in charge of the Rowing section explained that “the start” of the regatta is “in fleet, with all the teams at the same time”, and stressed that the test will be “quite close” and the local teams "will fight to win". Regarding the state of the sea, Mas has pointed out that "a not bad weather" is expected.

First, the Veterans teams and then the Youth teams will start.
