Benidorm hosts this Friday the ceremony to award medals to local police officers from the province of Alicante
The city of Benidorm will host an awards ceremony this Friday, November 14th, honoring local police officers from the province of Alicante who have carried out outstanding actions in recent years. The ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM in the Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera and will be attended by, among others, the Regional Minister for the area, Juan Carlos Valderrama, and the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez.
In preparation for this event, a Local Security Board meeting was held this morning, chaired by the Mayor and attended by the Secretary General of the Government Sub-delegation, José Antonio Cuadros; the Councilor for Public Service, Jesús Carrobles; the Chief Commissioner of the National Police Corps, Luis Manuel Sánchez; the Lieutenant in charge of the Traffic Detachment of the Civil Guard, Manuel Alberto Sánchez; the Commissioner of the Local Police, Juan Carlos Amorós; and the Chief Inspector of Operations of the Provincial Unit of Alicante, José Antonio Fernández. as well as spokespeople from the three municipal groups and city council technicians.
The Regional Ministry has organised a similar event in each of the three provinces. The first took place yesterday in Xirivella; tomorrow it will be Alicante's turn with the meeting in Benidorm; and on the 21st it will be held in Benicàssim.
