146 riders face a 118km circuit with start and finish on Jaime I Avenue
Benidorm gives the start to the last and decisive stage of the II Setmana Ciclista Valenciana
This afternoon Benidorm has given the start to the final and decisive stage of the II Setmana Ciclista Valenciana, an exclusively female event in which runners of 29 international teams participate. The mayor, Toni Pérez, was in charge of cutting the tape shortly before the beginning of the stage, accompanied by the general director of Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana, Josep Miquel Moya; Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo; of the mayor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll; of several members of the local government; and the director of the test, Rubén Donet.
A total of 146 cyclists face this fourth and final stage of 118 kilometers with start and finish on Jaime I Avenue. The riders will give three laps to the circuit, which includes a second category port in Finestrat and that, in addition to Benidorm , also passes through the municipal districts of Orxeta and Villajoyosa.
In the first line of exit have been placed the Italian Marta Bastianelli, first in the general classification; Ashley Moolman-Passio, leader of the mountain; Belle de Gast, the best so far in the special sprints; Abby-Mae Parkinson, first classified in sub23; and Sofía Rodríguez, best runner in the Valencian Community.
The arrival to finis is scheduled at 15.25 hours. The last complete tour of the circuit can be followed through giant screens located at the finish line and through 'streaming' on the YouTube channel of the 2nd Setmana Ciclista Valenciana.
