Benidorm Fest, Special Jury Mention in the Music category of Ondas Awards
Benidorm Fest has won the Special Jury Mention in the Music category of the prestigious Ondas Awards that have just been celebrated. The contest, organized by RTVE, the Generalitat Valenciana and Benidorm City Council, to elect the Spanish representative in Eurovision, has been recognized for “the positive impact it has had on the discovery of artists through live performances, incorporating the concept of experience to the traditional television concert.”
The Special Mention from the Jury also indicates that the event has given “an unusual and positive exhibition to artists with media projection” and points out that it is “a narrative proposal that has brought both the historic Benidorm Festival and the iconic Benidorm Festival to the present.” Eurovision”.
The Benidorm Fest is already preparing its third edition, which will take place on January 30 and February 1 and 13 of next year. In addition, on November 11, the 16 proposals chosen to participate from among the 825 songs submitted to the contest will be announced.
The Benidorm musical event has already received other awards since it started in January 2021. Thus, in addition to this Special Mention from the Jury, it has achieved two awards from the FestVal de Vitoria, three Iris awards from Television Academy, Ciudad de Benidorm, the Valencian Community Tourism Award, Vocento Special Award for Brand Positioning, Diversia 2023 Award or AquíTV Special Award, among others.
