Benidorm extends the application period for the ‘Parenthesis Grants’ by almost one more month
Benidorm City Council has extended for almost a month the deadline to participate in 'Parenthesis Grants', aimed at professionals and companies with up to 10 workers from a good number of sectors and activities, and which are focused on minimizing the effects of pandemic.
The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved today to extend the deadline for submitting applications "until September 13, as reported today by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, who explained that" with this new extension we want , once again, to encourage the largest possible number of companies and self-employed in Benidorm to participate in these 'Parenthesis Grants', aware that the local productive fabric has been particularly affected by this pandemic that has hit our main industry hard, the tourism".
Gómez recalled that "at the moment we are immersed in the second phase of these grants, promptly resolving new remittances from beneficiaries while we continue to receive requests." To date, as specified, "between the 1st and 2nd phase of 'Parenthesis Grants' 3,276,625.88 euros have already been injected into the economy of 1,416 companies and self-employed professionals, a figure that will increase in the near future in how much new remittances are processed and approved ”.
The request for these ‘Parenthesis Aids’ that must be submitted through the municipal website, https://sede.benidorm.org, until 11:59 p.m. on September 13. The bases of this second call and the list of activities and sectors that can benefit from these grants are also available at the same website, aimed at businesses with up to 10 workers or professionals who have their tax address or activity in Benidorm.
The amount of these benefits - co-financed by Generalitat Valenciana, Alicante Provincial Council and the City Council - is 2,000 euros per company or self-employed person, to which is added 200 euros 'extra' for each worker registered on 31 December 2020.
