González de Zárate shares the EDUSI proposals and Benidorm sustainable energy, energy efficiency and adaptation to climate change plans as examples of success
Benidorm exposes its sustainability at the National Congress of Advanced Architecture
The Councilor for Urban Scene and Works, José Ramón González de Zárate y Unamuno participated this morning in the round table that analyzed the need for large-scale actions of energy Rehabilitation within the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 that from today and until Thursday it takes place at IFEMA Madrid.
González de Zárate has highlighted the commitment to the sustainability of Benidorm since the general plan of 1956 and especially since the implementation of the DTI Roadmap where sustainability is one of the five fundamental axes and in which Benidorm climbs positions audit after audit.
The councilor focused, after exposing the reality of Benidorm, on the efficient management of water and mobility to focus on energy efficiency based on specific plans –Action Plan for Climate and Sustainable Energy, Energy Action Plan Sustainable Development, Municipal Energy Efficiency Plan and Climate Change Adaptation Plan”. Together with them, the entire Sustainable and Integrative Urban Development Strategy, EDUSI, which contemplates special attention to energy efficiency and decarbonization, pointing out the success stories developed together with the IDEA for renovation and management of public lighting, energy, and economic savings achieved, the reduction of emissions and the endowments towards electrical self-sufficiency in municipal facilities and buildings.
They shared a panel with González de Zárate the Vice Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning of the Community of Madrid, José María García Gómez, the Minister of Development of AENA, Francisco Martín Ramiro; and the director of the Municipal Housing Institute of Malaga, José María López Cerezo. The managing partner of CIP Arquitectos, Julián Domínguez, was the moderator.
