The photographic exhibition ‘Hecho para durar’, made up of 40 portraits, can be seen from tomorrow at the Espais d’Art: Els Tolls, El Carrasco and Ponent
‘Benidorm Expone’ recognizes the effort of the productive fabric during the pandemic in an exhibition by Valiente Verde
The initiative 'Benidorm Expone', which for four years brings culture and art to the streets with very different proposals, tomorrow presents the exhibition 'Hecho para durar', a photographic exhibition in which "the city pays tribute to merchants, businessmen and self-employed for the effort they have made and continue to make every day to move forward after such a hard year marked by the Covid-19 crisis ”, explained the Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer.
This exhibition, curated by Alicia Lamarca, is made up of 40 portraits signed by the Alicante photographer Valiente Verde and "aims to be a representation of all the unions and activities of the city", of "all the business people, freelancers and merchants who during the lock down were at the forefront working to meet the needs of the population, or those who throughout this time have struggled to keep their businesses open and jobs, even those that have reinvented themselves or have undertaken ”, added the mayor.
Pellicer highlighted “the great work of Valiente Verde, an artist who presents us with a world full of color, strength and a sense of humor, who has understood Benidorm and who from absolute respect has managed to plot this exhibition with a mischievous air and involving in each photograph to its protagonists and making them part of the project ”.
‘Hecho para durar’ can be seen from tomorrow until October 15 at the Espais d’Art Urbà Els Tolls, El Carrasco and Ponent. This Tuesday, the artist with the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilor for Historical Heritage; the curator of the exhibition and some of the protagonists of the portraits will visit the different Espais d’Art to discover the entire exhibition as a whole.
