This project contemplates the construction of a steel walkway of 20 meters in length on the ravine, and the creation of four axles through which bicycles, pedestrians and emergency vehicles can circulate - each road with a width of 4 meters.
Three of the axes will receive a final treatment similar to that recently given to the small park that has been generated at the confluence of Dr. Orts Llorca and Esperanto avenues, with a polished concrete similar to the terrazzo. The fourth path, which will link with Parque de la Séquia Mare, will be covered with ocher-colored resin and achieve a better adaptation to the environment.
Pérez stressed that when designing this footbridge and pedestrian crossings have taken into account "the promotion of sustainable mobility" and also "the infrastructures that are planned in the area and that will be developed in the medium term." Specifically, the mayor has referred to Parque de la Séquia Mare and the intermodal station announced by the Generalitat Valenciana, which will be located next to the bus terminal and will serve the TRAM. In fact, the project presented today has been coordinated with Ferrocarrils of the Generalitat Valenciana (FGV).
The municipal project, which will be tendered shortly, is valued at 285,000 euros and has a term of execution of three months.
