Día de Andalucía en Benidorm.

Hundreds of residents gathered this morning at Casa de Andalucía in Benidorm, chaired by Raúl González, on the occasion of Andalusia Day, which is officially celebrated on February 28 and commemorates the referendum on the autonomous process that took place in this community. in 1980.
The event was attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, who, precisely, holds the position of 'Andalusian of the Year' awarded by the Cultural Federation of Andalusia to the South of the Valencian Community.

A good part of the municipal Corporation has joined the initiative, such as the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; together with the regional and provincial deputies, Manuel Pérez Fenoll and José Ramón González de Zárate. The act has also had the presence of the Queens of Benidorm, Angélica Morenilla and Daniela Talavera, who have supported those of the Casa de Andalucía, Elia Romero and Maira Jiménez and their vice president, Joaquín Romero.

Throughout the morning, the sevillanas, tangos, tanguillos, and fandangos have allowed us to enjoy a meeting in which Andalusian gastronomy has reigned, its popular tapas and pinchos and which has reached its peak with a traditional stew that has made more one's.

The Andalusian community is, after the autochthonous, the largest in Benidorm with 7,387 registered residents, according to the latest edition of 'Benidorm in figures'. The Casa de Andalucía brings together a good part of them and promotes emblematic events in the city such as the April Fair or the deeply rooted Holy Week south of Despeñaperros.
