The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, today has collected the Blue Flag for the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas from the regional secretary of Environment and Climate Change, Fran Quesada, at an event held in the Valencian town of Cullera, which also attended the regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer. One more year, the three beaches of the city have validated the distinction awarded by the Foundation of Environmental Education to the sandbanks and ports that meet the most stringent conditions of water quality, information, environmental education, safety, services and facilities.
Perez said that "this recognition is the result of conscientious and sustained work throughout the year from the City and the concessionaire of the beaches so that they offer the highest standards of quality and the best services to users." "The beaches," he added, "are our main reference and for that reason we are very demanding in their care, as evidenced by the fact that year after year we obtain the most important quality marks".
