Benidorm celebrates the big day of the clubs prior to Festes Majors Patronals

At 8:00 in the morning, the 'masclets' and' trons de bac 'have starred in the' awakening 'that has started in  Óscar Esplá auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera and culminated with the traditional breakfast of the clubs at  Casa del Fester' Diego Cano Enguera '.

At 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna a mass has been celebrated in which the supporters who have left us during the pandemic have been honored. The Fiestas Councilor, Jesús Carrobles, has led the representation of the municipal corporation along with other members of the City Council. Likewise, the Queens, Paula Pérez and Sofía Fuster and the presidents of the Commission of Festes Majors Patronals, Batiste Rostoll, and the Associació de Penyes, Adrián Romero, have also attended.

After the religious ceremony, the tribute to the missing supporters continued with a visit to the two cemeteries in the city.

‘Dia de les Penyes’ will continue this afternoon with a party in Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera which can be accessed with the Covid vaccination certificate. Under the motto #SemprePerLaFesta, Covita will perform at 7.30pm; at 8:40 pm, Edu del Temple; at 10.20 pm Gafapasta; at 12:15 am Yanyra; and finally, at 1.10 am, Pollo. The festival is scheduled to end at 2.40 in the morning.

Despite the fact that this year the traditional playback festival has had to be cancelled due to the health situation, queens and their court of honor will perform at #SemprePerLaFesta with a prerecorded musical number in homage to the city's peñista collective.

The weekend that Benidorm dedicates to the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge' will end tomorrow with a concert at 5.30 p.m. also at Julio Iglesias auditorium, by Societat Musical l'Illa de Benidorm, open to the public upon presentation of Covid vaccination certificate.
